My Family

My mother's name is Emilia, born 8.9.1943 in the town of Ruse, my father Angel is born 8.1.1942 in the village of Byala Cherkva. It's been the birth place of many historical figures such as Bacho Kiro, Tsanko Tserkovski, Rayko Daskalov and priest Hariton. My father passed away 1.9.1989 in Ruse. I have a brother - Boyko, born 24.4.1965 also in Ruse. I grew up in a family of educated, intelligent and well - mannered people, who were hard working and honest. My mom worked in hops as a sale's attendant, then in a construction organization with own working staff. Later, when I was in the primary shcool, she decided to resume her education and receive a degree from the institute for kindergarden teachers in Ruse and eventually became one. Untill her retirement she continued to work as a teacher. Their former students respect her and even today they are stoping her in the streets to show their graditute for everything she did for them in the past.

My father worked as an electrotechnician and later, repairing elevators for a long time. He also worked in the pedagogics with mom in the village of Veslets, near Razgrad and in the Rodopi as a teacher. They gave us a good upbringing. They always have taught us to be honest, to make our own way with work and persistence, to withstand our beliefs and goals and they always showed their appriciation. Our mother was very strict with us. She wanted to give us the best upbringing as future grown individuals, with whom she would be very proud of and be given as an example to follow. I suppose that my parents did well with the task regarding our behaviour. Of course, we were too, very mischievous like many children are, but this is something common for all of them. While in school, I wasn't a straight student, I did well during my music class, something ordinary for me. My mother always said to me that she wanted to be a pop singer and has been awlays "glued" to the radio, my father was playing the guitar. Nevertheless, she has been occupied with us, her job. They were called the Ruse's Romeo and Juliet - they were both very beautiful and attractive and they fell in love for each other from a glimpse. My father as a soldier in the town of Petritch, later transferred him in Ruse and there they met each other. I don't know from where I inherited my talent. Of course, it's a God's gift but genetically, I received it from my mother and my granmother - Donka, (who we love very much with my brother) on her father's lineage, also used to sing beautifully. She raised us with our step-grandfather, who we felt close, despite the fact we don't share name with him. I was told that when my father's father had passed away when my father was in the high school. His name was Nedelcho, from there we share with my brother our family's names - Nedelchev. My father used to be an excellent student and very handsome and intelligent...

Most of my brightest memories from childhood are from my village. My grandmother Donka and my grandfather Bosilko raised me and my brother since we were very little. A bigger part of my childhood went in my village before I turned first grade in school.I studied to 4 grade in the primary school "Rakovski", just across the block. Later in the junior high school untill 8th grade - "Toma Kurdjiev" and then I graduated from the profesional school of industrial chemistry-unfortunately I wasn't accepted in the music school of Ruse, because of my age. I was 6 when I started to go to school. I had to be 16 to be admitted, that is why I pulled some strings to be enrolled in the school of chemistry. When I finished it was a great deal of hard thing for me to do. I had really unpleasant memories from there and I don't want to remember. My grandparents, Dona and Hristo, my mother's parents used to be very strict. My grandfather used to be a chef and had a restaurant in Ruse, maybe that's why I cook vey well my self. My mother has 2 younger brothers, one of them died very young at the age of 24, he left a baby. I missed my grandparents and the childhood in the village.

My brother started to read at the age of 4 and was regarded as a miracle. I, on the other hand, did the singing, day and night, while he was the sports guy from very young and did many sports - basketball, voleyball, football, leka track-and-field athletics. He graduated from transport technical school in Ruse. We get along pretty well and help each other. They dress us like twins, because we have only a year and 3 months difference and were at the same highth and weight. Boyko was admitted in Sofia's institute of Railway Transport but didn't like it at all, he graduated with many difficulties. He came to me in Sofia and I helped him to enter in the show business, little by little. My brother is very good composer and has very beautiful "velvet" voice. Also he is quite good manager and organizer and he helped me very much in my career.
